Abstract The aim of this paper is twofold. First, I want to re-examine the epistemic status elaborated delusions. Bortolotti (2016, 2020) claims that they can be epistemically innocent. However, will show type delusions more unique than suggested by existing analyses their status. They typically cause profound harms other kinds delusions, and in most cases, it would counterproductive classify them as beneficial or employ predictive phenomenological models enactivist notion sensus communis explain possible benefits why think definition does not fully grasp them.
